Anambé Negro/Pachyramphus polychopterus/White-winged Becard: 

Los cabezones son reminiscentes de los mosqueros; son de tamaño mediano y tienen una cabeza bastante plana. Varían geográficamente: los machos en el norte y el oeste son de color gris con gorra y espalda negras; en el Amazonas son mayormente negro, y ambas formas tienen marcas blanco y negro contrastantes en las alas. La hembra es poco descriptible con la cara algo lisa y partes inferiores amarillo pálidas. Busca sus barras alares y puntas de la cola beige. Individualmente o en parejas se encuentran en áreas boscosas pero no usualmente dentro del bosque maduro; prefieren bordes y bosque secundario. Generalmente se encuentra en los niveles medios en los árboles.

The great-headed flycatchers are reminiscent of flycatchers; they are medium-sized and have a rather flat head. They vary geographically: males in the north and west are gray with a black cap and back; in the Amazon they are mostly black, and both forms have contrasting black and white wing markings. The female is indistinct with a somewhat plain face and pale yellow underparts. Look for her wing bars and buffy tail tips. They are found singly or in pairs in wooded areas but not usually within mature forest; they prefer edges and secondary forest. They are generally found in the middle levels of trees.
