Golondrina Tijerita/Hirundo rustica/Barn Swallow:

Reconocible incluso a distancia por su cola extremadamente larga y bifurcada. Pasa mucho tiempo en vuelo, volando rápidamente sobre pastizales y estanques en búsqueda de insectos. Parece oscuro por arriba (azul marino con buena luz) y de beige a anaranjado por debajo. Típicamente anida cerca de la gente, en graneros, bajo muelles y otras infraestructuras.

 Recognizable even from a distance by its extremely long, forked tail. It spends much of its time in flight, soaring swiftly over grasslands and ponds in search of insects. It appears dark above (navy blue in good light) and beige to orange below. It typically nests near people, in barns, under docks, and other structures.
