Pitotoy Grande/Tringa melanoleuca/Greater Yellowlegs:

Ave playera de tamaño mediano con patas largas y amarillo-brillantes. El plumaje es básicamente idéntico a Lesser Yellowlegs, tiene la parte dorsal gris con manchas blancas y vientre blanco. Las proporciones son más útiles para separar ambas especies: el pico es más largo que la cabeza y ligeramente recurvado, de mayor tamaño que Pitotoy chico, con cuello más largo, cabeza cuadrada y pecho más grande. Forrajea activamente en zonas lodosas y áreas de aguas poco profundas, dando largas zancadas y tomando invertebrados.

A medium-sized shorebird with long, bright yellow legs. Its plumage is essentially identical to that of the Lesser Yellowlegs, with a gray back speckled with white and a white belly. Proportions are more useful for distinguishing the two species: the bill is longer than the head and slightly curved, larger than that of the Lesser Yellowlegs, with a longer neck, a squarer head, and a broader breast. It forages actively in mudflats and shallow waters, taking long strides and consuming invertebrates.
